Luaus & Island Themed events: Creative Flame’s HULA FUSION
Creative Flame can make adjustments on every aspect of the performance to fit your unique event location, theme, age-group, culture, belief system, and other requirements or preferences.
SHOW OVERVIEW
In our Hula-Fusion shows, we reach beyond the Pacific Islands, borrowing performer arts disciplines from many cultures for a well-rounded, exciting show. Not your common luau act, this hybrid performance invokes the tribal island feeling, while appealing to many different cultures.
COSTUME:
Male performers in a sarong, grass wrist and ankle leis, shirtless with tribal markings on face, back, and arms. Females commonly adorn flowered skirts and wrap top, with leis, and wrist/head flowers. (No plastic grass skirts~ too dangerous with fire). For more conservative audiences, males dress in Hawaiian shirts and shorts, while females commonly wear long floral dresses.
MUSIC
Unless specific music is requested, we love using a fast-paced, percussion-heavy music track with few words, which build in energy throughout the performance. If you’re going for ‘Margaritaville’, a selection of more popular culture music is available.
